How to receive download notifications?

Some users want to know when their uploaded files are accessed. Some even want to take this a step further and want to know who accessed the files. Let's say you share your portfolio with 3 people and want to know when each one of them accesses your portfolio.

We are happy to announce that we support this. To do this, you need to create and email share by following the instructions below. An email share generates custom links for each email recipient. When this link is accessed, we know who the recipient was and can notify you.

Note: This feature is available on the pro and enterprise plans. Since we need to pay our provider, when we send emails, we cannot offer this functionality on our free plan.

Let's walk through the process.

After you add your files to the upload widget, you will see an Email button. This button lets you share files via email links. Clicking on this button and you will see a form to enter your email recipients and an optional short message for the recipients.

After you press the send button, each recipient is sent a personal download link. When a user accesses this personalized link, we know who it is and can notify you when your files are accessed.
